Maan Plasma Treatment

The plasma range of Maan Group exists out of different systems and techniques for pre-treatments of materials, with the aim of applying coatings to improve or modify surface characteristics. With the PlasMaanSurface system, PlasMaanJet system and the PlasMaanCVD process large parts of materials can be treated in different plasma processes. PlasMaanSurface and PlasMaanJet are atmospheric lowpressure plasma pre-treatment systems developed by Maan Group. The PlasMaanCVD process is a PECVD process. All three plasma systems and processes are operational and available at Maan Group for test productions.

PlasmaJet®
ThePlasmaJet® system is a plasma jet system that treats various materials, such as: plastics, composites, fabrics, glass and cardboard. The PlasmaJet® system is used to clean, activate and to make surfaces hydrophilic by modifying the material surface tension. The system is well suited for existing production lines and particular for production lines with a high process speed.

PlasMaanSurface
PlasMaanSurface
The PlasMaanSurface system treats (flexible) surfaces with plasma to improve adhesion and wettability by increasing surface energy. The system can be used in production processes where thin films are used for manufacturing of printed electronics, flexible electronics and light sensitive plastics. The system can be applied in roll-to-roll and flat sheet production processes. The PlasMaanSurface system is even capable of pre-treatments of conductive materials, such as metalized foils and PET printed with ITO, Silver tracks or SiN.

The MaanCVD process (Chemical Vapor Deposition) is a vacuum process. Reactive gases are fed into a vacuum chamber and are ionized by electrical energy. All parts of the product will be treated with low pressure plasma by means of a batch process. The PlasMaanCVD process provides pre-treatments for several materials and products to create better adhesion and wettability.
